Dr. Herath completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Sydney, including a rural placement in Nowra, which helped shape her patient-first approach and adaptability in different clinical settings. She then practiced for nearly five years in Canberra, Australia’s capital, gaining broad experience in general dentistry and building lasting relationships with the people she cared for.
What Dr. Herath loves most about dentistry is the trust patients place in her and the opportunity to form long-term partnerships—especially watching younger patients grow up over the years. She understands that dental visits can feel stressful or anxiety-inducing, so she takes time to listen carefully, address concerns, and tailor her approach to each patient’s needs. Her goal is for every patient to leave feeling empowered, educated, and in control of their oral health.
Clinically, Dr. Herath is passionate about conservative, biologically-driven dentistry and staying current with advanced techniques and technology. She also enjoys educating patients on how closely oral health connects to overall health and well-being.
Outside the clinic, she’s happily obsessed with her cat, continually adds to her Goodreads list (even if she hasn’t finished the current book), and is busy re-discovering Edmonton’s food scene.
